2019, the year of sparkle

For me 2019 is the year of sparkle. not the shining brightly with flashes of light sparkle, but the other definition, the one of being engaging, vivacious and witty—A year of being unapologetically gusty. A cheeky attitude that permits me to say the word “no” once in awhile without automatically following it up with a pitiful midwestern, “i’m sorry”. I have never been one for making new year’s resolutions, but I do intend to share with you my new year’s intentions. I don’t want to burden myself with a list of goals that i can cross off one-by-one, but build a new lifestyle that i can slowly progress towards. I want to be more health conscious, taking care of my body and my skin. I want to be more economically and ecologically aware, allowing my planet to heal and be available for future generations. I want to wear clothes that make me happy instead of acquiescing to the ephemeral trends. I want to be a girl boss, both in my life and in my career. I want to be more social, slowly sneaking away from my dominate, introverted habits. In other words, 2019 is going to be pretty radical…for me.
