La Femme
Hello my fellow fashionistas! Not only did the winter olympics just start, but so did nyfw! To say I am in heaven would be an understatement. Although I am not front row watching the runway shows with the A-listers, I have been surfing the web non-stop to keep up with the latest shows. Thank gosh for technology. I have been scrolling through the fashion bible, also known as Vogue, for hours each day to make sure I am fully educated on the current shows, trends and street style looks by my main man, Phil Oh. I have also been tuning in each night to watch my favorite events in Pyeongchang including; figure skating, snowboarding and weirdly enough, curling. Although, I did give my head, melatonin levels and eyes a rest by enjoying Chicago's gift of 10 inches of snow last week, this week is dedicated to the art of fashion and sports.
Although it's 20 degrees outside, I needed to pull these puppies out of hibernation. These Chica crop pants by Lovers + Friends are so comfortable and flattering. The best part about these cropped flare pants is that they can honestly be paired with anything, such as a graphic tee, oversized sweater or a silk blouse. Since it is winter, it only made sense to pair it with my new Who What Wear Target ruffle-sleeved grey knit sweater. It's simple, but intricate. The sleeves add just the right amount of flare with their triple layered, ribbed knit design. Of course, since Valentine's day is just around the corner, I had to add pops of red in my ensemble. This Alice and Olivia bag is the perfect size, shape and texture for a day out on the town. I wanted to add more red in my look to balance out the neutrals, so I 'stole' my mom's vintage lucite, art deco stud earnings to match the red in the bag. I also started adding hyperlinks to some pics so you can easily find each piece without the hassle of googling random descriptions. Enjoy!
