Cool as Folk
Hey y'all!! Happy Fall! I don't know about you guys, but fall means to me the start and justification of ordering pumpkin spice lattes (my latte!!! - Cheaper by the Dozen joke), dressing like a hobo, and eating a crap ton of comfort food. Aka I am basically a bear in hibernation with the addition of warm beverages and Netflix.
Anywho, I decided to publish my second fashion post of the Fall season because by golly, why not? I thought this look would be the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. You could easily add an oversized sweater with this mid-length dress, and BAM you have the perfect Fall look. But, because global warming decided to continue to slap us silly and play with our emotions with it's random heat waves and humidity attacks, it is important to be able to remove any piece of clothing at a moments notice. This is why I fully support the mid-length dress, velvet booties and military-inspired hat look as a way to compliment both seasons without drastically altering your summer wardrobe vibes. The colors are more fall-esque, with deeper hues and warmer tones, but the silhouette and fabric are appropriate for the summer heat. I added more fall accessories, such as the velvet booties, hat, hoops and leather belt because I thought they added a bit of an October flare to the ensemble. Now, Please buckle your seat belts, put up your folding trays and enjoy the ride.
