Sun Kissed
Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'm, it is finally Spring my friends and praise be because my pale skin was in desperate need of some TLC and vitamin D. To say I took advantage of this 80 degree day would be an understatement. I devoured it. My dad and I drove up to the third coast in order to bask in the sun the only way we know how, by beaching it. Now to say I wasn't inspired by the cliche' Coachella festival look would be a lie, but to say I classed it up with these high-waisted paperbag pants from Topshop would be the truth. My crop-top could be considered vintage due to the fact that it has been reincarnated from the ashes of Lollapalooza circa 2012. It was time it saw the light of fashion again. I decided to garnish the ensemble with layered gold necklaces from Christmas's past. The star choker is from Madewell, the Buddha is from my grandma's vintage collection, and the beaded ones are from Lucky Brand. I love the idea of mixing different metals, lengths and stones to make a statement with dainty jewelry instead of wearing one, large whimsical piece. To top it all off, I wore my platform j-slide sneakers with a rope embellishment on the sole to add a summer-spin on the classic tennis-shoe.
