Hello and Happy October my friends! During the weekend, when I am not hibernating with an oat milk latte or binging gilmore girls, I scrounge for the latest fall trends in the plethora of fashion magazines that cover my coffee table. For this blog post, I was inspired by InStyle’s November issue, commemorating the classic trench. I decided to join the bandwagon, and help revive this timeless trend with the addition of a patterned midi dress and sturdy boots. It’s time to reincarnate the trench and pair it with pops of color and vintage booties that compliment it’s neutral tone. Although we tend to associate trench coats with spring, it’s easy to make it appropriate for the fall chill with the inclusion of a long sleeve midi, insulated boots, or with the addition of a thin turtleneck placed under the dress. The key to making this breezy look fitting for fall is by incorporating the blessing that is called layers.
