My weekend in Cleveland, OH

On my way home from the city that never sleeps, a fourteen hour drive I may add, I stopped at my girl Darby's casa in Cleveland, OH for a little R-N-R before traveling back to Chicago.  Now, I know what you're all thinking, Ohio, what a boring state full of nothing, well that's false.  FALSE. Ok, I must add I was part of that bandwagon, but now that I have smelled the roses or whatever that phrase is, I love me some good ole Ohio living.  I can now say that I have officially fallen off of that bandwagon lol.

Now, I didn't get to experience all of the glory that Ohio holds, but my friend Darby and her very accommodating family brought me to some beautiful places.  The first night in Ohio, I traveled to Kelleys Island via the family yacht (well it wasn't a full yacht, but it was a darn tootin' nice boat).  We docked the boat and started drinking, a tradition of sorts for the boating community of the island.  When the sun finally started to fall, we jumped into our souped up golf cart and moseyed over to the local town for some food and more drinks.  When the stars came out, so did everyone's wild side.  We hit the local bars and danced the night away.  Awwww yes, it could have been the perfect romantic comedy if it wasn't for the fact that there were no suitors and I was more tame than the parental figures, but none the less, it was magical.  That night we slept on the boat, to be awaken by the most beautiful sunrise over lake Erie.  With a fresh cup of java, we headed back to the mainland to start much more needed adventures.

After watching 7 hours of Friends, Darby and I roamed across Cleveland to local jucieries, boutiques, markets and breweries.  It was the most perfect, relaxing weekend with no pressure to fill every second with activities.  We took long drives down Lake Road, ate delicious meals, and sun bathed at Edgewater Park.  They made me feel like part of the family, and boy am I glad I have such incredible friends to share these adventures with.
